Biography

Dr. Stephen Woodley is an ecologist, who has worked in the field of environmental conservation a consultant, field biologist, university researcher, and the first Chief Scientist for Parks Canada. He currently is Vice Chair for Science and Biodiversity of IUCN’s World Commission on Protected Areas. Part of that responsibility is to Co-Chair the Commissions Specialist Group on OECMs. He is also President of ACRE, a community-based land trust based in Chelsea, Quebec, Canada.
