Sarah Baumgartner

I have a Master’s degree in History and Geography, but am currently working outside of academia. With my double qualification, I have been able to participate as a cartographer in several historical research projects, most recently Tobias Haller’s “balancing the commons”. The starting point for the project I am going to present was a request I received about a year ago: a researcher who had read our book asked me for spatial data on Swiss commons. Realizing that we actually know very little about the spatial extent of Swiss commons, I turned again to Tobias Haller – who invited me to create a concept for a research study on this topic.
