Nicolas Krausz

Biography

Nicolas Krausz is programme officer at Leenaards Foundation in Lausanne (Switzerland). He is also member of the “ecological transition” committee of the Fondation de France in Paris and co-leader of the “sustainability and environment” working group of SwissFoundations.

At Leenaards Foundation, he is in charge of the sustainability program (circular economy and sufficiency, agroecology and the right to food, new narratives and climate advocacy) and democracy & media programmes.

He has a background in philosophy, worked in the publishing sector, managed an international NGO and then spent ten years in the French political sector before joining the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation (FPH) in Lausanne where he was a program manager for 12 years. He is co-author of La ville qui mange, an essay on the food governance of cities, published in 2013 by Editions Charles Léopold Mayer (ECLM) and of several dossiers, texts and columns on the commons and the role of philanthropy in the just transition.
