Biography
Håkan Tunón is director of the Swedish Biodiversity Centre and senior research officer within the field of traditional ecological knowledge and ethnobiology. He has been working with the national Swedish implementation of articles 8(j) and 10(c) for the past 25 years, i.e. issues related to traditional knowledge and sustainable customary use of biological diversity. His research has mainly been concerning Scandinavian summer farming, archipelago fishing and farming, and Saami related issues. The Saami people is the indigenous people in Northern Europe.
