Biography
Francesc Giró holds a degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona and a Master of Science in Conservation from University College London (UCL), London University. He received an exchange grant to complete two semesters of coursework in wildlife management at the University of California, Berkeley.
His professional experience includes working at the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park and the Catalan Ministry of Environment. He has also worked as an environmental consultant specializing in wetland restoration and management and served as an ecotourism consultant for the World Tourism Organization.
Francesc was the founder and director of Fundació Natura (Acciónatura), a role he held from June 1997 to the end of 2017. Currently, he is dedicated to promoting a family ecotourism project, engaging in organic agriculture, and advancing the creation of a Private Nature Reserve in Tiana, near Barcelona.
