Biography
Diana will discuss the essential role of strategic public communication for commons. She will highlight how engaging the general public, media, and policymakers can secure legal recognition and support for commons, enabling them to preserve traditions, manage habitats, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals across Europe.
Diana has 18 years of experience in Communications in Europe and the USA. Her expertise includes working with EU institutions and national governments on policymaking (natural resource management, social justice, urban commons) equipping her with a deep understanding of how to effectively communicate complex topics to make them more visible and impactful for policymakers.
Born in Romania during its post-communist transformation, Diana’s personal journey shaped her passion for justice, community-building, and giving back. As the first in her family to study abroad—supported by the Open Society Foundation and Fulbright Commission—she developed a commitment to driving social impact.
